About Libopé

Welcome to Libopé Jewels. My name is Lise Reo. The name ‘Libopé’ is a contraction derived from my name before I got married: Lise Boje Pedersen. I have been making jewellery since 2009, when I started Sorelle Jewellery. After running the business for 10 years, I chose to sell it to new owners. The reason was because the scope had grown larger than I could manage on my own. It was a difficult process and I contemplated my decision many times, but looking back it was the right thing for me to do.
I live in Randers, Denmark, with my husband and our two children, Jack and Amy. I also have a part-time job where I work with finance, among other things. When I sold Sorelle, I found that something was lacking in my life and I must admit that it left a big void. I still needed to make jewellery, but in a different way and with a different concept. That’s why I decided to start “Libopé Jewels”. I consider Libopé to be my hobby, my therapy, and a wonderful opportunity to express my creative interests.
I will now introduce you to my concept! It is really quite simple.
All of the jewellery I make is limited edition or a one-off, which sometimes means that only one piece is made, and sometimes a few more. If I find a truly unique pearl or stone, I will make just that one piece of jewellery.

This is because I have a great love for beautiful and unique stones and pearls, and it allows me to design continuously and in smaller quantities, which is what I love most about jewellery making. It’s a hobby for me, so there can be periods when production is low and other times when the motivation and efforts are higher.

I made a deliberate choice to keep production small and limited, which means that it is important to act fast if you find a piece that you would like to purchase. Another process in jewellery production that I genuinely enjoy is selecting materials and sourcing the perfect pearls and stones.

The description of each piece is also important to me, as it gives you the opportunity to read a full description of the piece before making your purchase.
I’ve also chosen to create posts here on this page that give a bit more background on the jewellery available for purchase, or pieces that you may already have in your own jewellery box.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any ideas, suggestions or questions. I would be more than happy to help and listen as best as I can.
